Jwaundace Candece
ACTION ACTRESS

Stunt performers and stunt actors are Super Humans with extraordinary careers and talents. Imagine going to work and being set on fire, crashing cars, fighting and performing motorcycle stunts. This is a normal day at the office for Jwaundace (pronounced Ja-wan-dece) Candece, one of Hollywood’s top black action actresses. She literally sizzles in the upcoming film “The Fields” (2011) as she’s lit on fire and she also demands our attention in the national Volkswagen car crash commercials. Aside from being extremely athletic, fearless and a thrill seeker at heart, she is a talented actress, has a Masters Degree in Psychology, a published author and certified teacher.
Jwaundace’s career as a stunt performer was launched after securing a spot on the TV sports hit show, Women of Wrestling (WOW) as Delta Lotta Pain one of the members of the notorious trio “Caged Heat” who dominated the ring along with sidekicks, Loca and Vendetta. Because of their fearce tactics and gimmicks, “Caged Heat” became WOW's first Tag Team Champions in 2001. Jwaundace was on the rise as her dreams began to unfold. She was approached to develop her own show based around her and Tag Team partners of Caged Heat but it all came crashing down after 9/11 when the Women of Wrestling was cancelled.
For almost a year, she went through a depression and odd jobs here and there, before she was approached by a fellow wrestling peer and stuntwoman, Elle Alexander, who gave her wrestling reel to stunt coordinator John Medlen. This was the turning point in her career when she was hired to double for Queen Latifah, in “Bringing Down the House." Once they saw Jwaundace in action, she was immediately signed on and was nominated for an MTV Movie Award in 2003 for “Best Fight.” From there on Queen Latifah requested her for "Scary Movie 3", "Taxi" and "Last Holiday". Jwaundace has also doubled for Academy Award winners Mo'Nique (“Precious”), Jennifer Hudson (“DreamGirls”) and Whoopi Goldberg (“The Cleaner”) as well as other top entertainers such as (Oscar nominated) Viola Davis, Tyra Banks, Patricia Belcher and Kym Whitley just to name a few.
Jwaundace is serious about her craft and is trained in acting, fighting, riding motorcycles and weaponry. With her non-stop training and workout regimen, Jwaundace is always ready for action. She can crash cars and even does 350’s. She has appeared in a number of commercials for Volkswagen, Wendy's and Lantus, and has performed as an action actress in a few episodes of the Fox TV show, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”, “CSI” and "Nip/Tuck." Her most recent work include: “Grown Ups” with Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, David Spade and Kevin James, upcoming films “The Fields “ with Sam Worthington and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Tyler Perry’s “Madea’s Big Happy Family” , “The Help” starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Emma Stone and Viola Davis and in an episode of the hit, “Vampire Diaries”. You can also catch her as an action actress in HBO's "Treme" and ABC Family's movie, "My Future Boyfriend"
Jwaundace is a member of the prestigious Stuntwomen’s Association of Motion Pictures (SWAMP).
She has worked with some great directors and stunt coordinators and hopes to one day also work with Brett Ratner, J.J. Abrams, Spike Lee, Ridley Scott, John Singleton, Ron Howard, Antoine Fugua and Quentin Tarrintino.
Because of her fine acting talent and her athletic ability, she successfully combines both on screen.
